Rollover Simulator (Manitoba)

Background: While seat belt compliance is very high it is significant that in roughly 40% of fatalities in Manitoba the person was not wearing a seat belt.

Goal: From May to October each year the rollover is demonstrated at community events and schools to demonstrate the effectiveness of seat belts and consequences of not wearing seat belts. MPI tries to target rural communities where seat belt wearing tends to be lower and because rural travel is often on higher speed roads and further from medical assistance – the consequences tend to be more severe.
