ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
Course fees subsidized for students: Student pays the $50 course fee, MPI covers the rest (approximately $350 per student) High school student status: Full time Must hold a valid Learner’s permit Other requirements: Before or following registration, students must register as Manitoba Public Insurance customers before they can write the Class 5L test in the Driver Education class. They can register by taking their identity documents to any Autopac agent or any Driver Licensing and Testing Centre. Students must pass the Class 5 Learner’s Licence Written Test and validate their Learner’s Licence before they can begin in-car training. Parent⁄guardian consent Registration⁄enrollment fee: $50

In-classroom In-vehicle: A parent/guardian/supervising driver must sign an In-car Interim Report after Driving Lesson 4
COMPETENCY MEASURES - FINAL EXAM
In-classroom In-vehicle: In Lesson 7, the instructor fills out a Practice Guide to help prepare the student for the final in-car evaluation. After Lesson 8, the in-car instructor completes an In-Car Final Report that indicates whether or not the student successfully met Driver Education in-car standards

Successfully complete minimum in-classroom instruction hours Successfully complete in-classroom evaluation: Student must maintain a 70% classroom average and satisfactorily complete all classroom tests and assignments, including: • 2 classroom tests – each worth 35% • Classroom Assignments and Groups Activities – worth 20% • Student Participation – worth 10% Successfully complete minimum in-vehicle instruction hours Successfully complete in-vehicle evaluation
