MOTORCYCLES 1

To obtain a motorcycle licence in NS, there are two GDL stages: Class 7 or 8 (Learner); and Class 6 (Novice). Initially, riders have to qualify for a Class 7 Learnerís licence because it covers the basic tests everyone must pass, i.e. vision, road signs, traffic and safety rules. NS riders can then get a separate motorcycle licence or get a motorcycle endorsement added on to their passenger vehicle licence.
Effective date of program implementation: Oct.1, 1994
