PASSENGER VEHICLES MOTORCYCLES

To obtain a motorcycle licence in SK, there are two stages:
Learner stage - 6 endorsement on a Class 1 - 7 licence grants authority for the operation of a motorcycle for learning purposes only; and the Full licence, which is a Class 6, or a Class 1-5 licence with Endorsement M.
Effective date of program implementation: Sept. 1, 2005 (motorcycle GDL is currently under development).


AGE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum entry age: 16 years
Minimum exit age: 17 years
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Driver education: Voluntary. In preparing to become a licensed motorcycle driver, attending a motorcycle training course is encouraged
Knowledge test: Written test on motorcycle traffic laws and safe driving practices
Parental consent: Required for Class 7 licence if applicants are under 18 yrs of age
Vision test
EXIT REQUIREMENTS
Successfully passed test ⁄ course: Practical on-road skill test

Road restrictions: Must operate within a 100 km radius of the address or secondary address shown on the certificate of registration for the motorcycle
