- ability to operate and instruct in the safe operation of a Class “G” motor vehicle
- meet the requirements of ‘accompanying driver’
- meet medical/vision requirements (O. Reg. 340/94)

- if licensed by another jurisdiction – driving record meets Ontario requirements
